"How can cosmic religious feeling be communicated from one person to another, if it can give rise to no definite notion of a God and no theology? In my view, it is the most important function of art and science to awaken this feeling and keep it alive in those who are receptive to it. " Albert Einstein in Religion and Science
There was a beginning of time but there is no before. Therefor what was God doing in this eternity before he created the universe?
Evidence of only one universe is found in cosmology. The expansion of the universe is accelerating. This means that gravity is not tugging back on it. If it is not going to collapse then there is no crunch ahead and there can be no crunch of a prior universe behind. Monotheism meets a science of One universe.
The meaning of one universe is that it is created by God.

"I want to know how God created the universe. I want to know His thoughts. All the rest are just details." Albert Einstein
At the end of his life he said that the older he got the more he believed in a Creator.

There is something bigger than the universe and it is the 4th dimension. The universe is the surface of the hypersphere.

If we go back to the absolute beginning of time this one universe was created. What was the Creator doing in the eternity before He created the universe?
This means that spiritually we have not always existed. I say to identify with the absolute beginning is to get close to He that began you.
It appears He has an Absolute Beginning as well.
This is my "cosmic religious feeling."
